Watch this video to understand why unrestrained, unchecked Federal power is a bad thing. I happen to still believe that $500B is a large sum of money to be just handed around. I also happen to believe that at a minimum we should have some direct representation in the decision to hand out such money. But, alas, the Federal Reserve doesn’t think we should have the power to review their decisions, even when the decisions represent political foreign policy on a massive scale.

A pretty good analysis from Glenn Beck regarding the changes in our government and culture. Many people have the inherent sense that something is wrong, but they just can’t quite put their consciousness on exactly what it is. I propose that it has to do woth the destruction of our American Principle of limited Federal Government.

I continue to read the New York Times to explore the thoughts of the seriously misguided. Yet again, no disappointment there. THIS EDITORIAL falls squarely in the misguided column.
What’s amazing to me, is that the Editors are SO close to the truth here, but they just can’t seem to understand the fundamental problem. They suggest, correctly, that through government subsidization for health care insurance to an increasing number of citizens that total system costs will inevitably go up. Oh, so true. Take the time to understand what we’re talking about when we get upset about an out of control Federal Government. Promises to voters gets votes. Promises to voters gets power. Promises to voters builds financial liabilities.

A really well-done article this morning from the Wall Street Journal (CLICK HERE) for all of you amateur economists (like me). Also, it’s very important to understand that many pundits keep talking about “green shoots,” but either I’m color blind or they’re delusional. Increases in aggregate demand driven only by new dollars from the Fed does NOT constitute real green shoots of growth, just a fertilizer-driven green up without any true stem to back it up.
